Through a wide range of practices and crafts—ranging from the manufacturing techniques of stone and ceramic vessels, to architectural design and the monumental painted and relief decoration of buildings, to the achievements of sculpture and metalworking, not to mention innovations in ship-building—the exhibition highlights the importance attached to the creativity of ancient artisans.
The exhibition venue is the hall for temporary exhibitions of the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion (entrance from Duke Beaufort street).
The exhibition runs from May 2019 to March 2020.
The exhibition will be accompanied by various events and experiential workshops for children and adults.
