The Aeolian sea is continually returning precious archaeological finds that enrich the "Bernabò Brea" Archaeological Museum in Lipari.

A Roman anchor was recovered in the shallows of Capistello, at a depth of about 70 metres, by the divers of the Coast Guard.

The recovery operation was conducted under the supervision of the archaeologist Salvo Emma of the Superintendence of the Sea.

The anchor was taken to the Aeolian museum in Lipari.
